Sorry to hear about this , but on the bright side, you got a good post out of it. The question in my mind is how you were able to type with your elbow all messed up.
I wasn't able to initially, but about 10 days after the fall I was able to. Rotating the forearm was actually never much a problem. The difficulty was (and is) in extending it. Luckily I don't have to do that to type.
